You can reach Guwahati by AIR, BUS or TRAIN. 

From Airport to Kamakhya Temple 35 min (18.6 km) via NH17/NH37. 

It is around 9 km from Guwahati (Paltan Bazar) railway station to Kamakhya Temple. You can opt any mode of transportation i.e; local bus, auto, taxi. 

Take the over bridge at Paltan Bazar railway station while you exit from railway station. Outside around 300 meter straight walk you will reach R.B.I. Square. From there you can get auto-rickshaws. You can choose to go by share jeep.  

For Darshan you may or may not take help of Panda or any middleman. There are Rs.100 & Rs.500 per head darshan tickets available. It also depends upon festival/tithi etc. Chappals/Shoes can be kept from where you buy flowers, dry fruits etc.
